Sukta 136
mahā́n vai bhadró bilvó mahā́n-bhadrá udumbáraḥ | mahā́m abhiktá bā́dhate mahatáḥ sā́dhu khódanam ||
Great verily is the auspicious Bilva; great-auspicious is the Udumbara. Great, when duly anointed, it repelleth the Great (foe): well is the digging made.
Rishi: Traditionally Atharvanic/Angirasic attribution for late AV appendices; specific r̥ṣi not determinable from the provided excerpt alone.
Devata: Bilva and Udumbara as empowered auspicious agents (dravya-devatā); the ‘Great’ adversary as the target of expulsion.
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh-like (late, somewhat irregular)
