Related Themes: Agni Purana: Hari-vaṃśa/Yādava-vaṃśa sections around this passage; Agni Purana: avatāra and yuddha-narrative sequences that later involve Yādavas
No ritual or technical vidyā is taught here; the verse transmits dynastic data—numbers of Yādavas under Kṛṣṇa’s protection and the birth of Aniruddha from Pradyumna and the Vaidarbhī.
It exemplifies the Agni Purana’s compendium style by preserving Itihāsa-Purāṇa material—genealogies, population figures, and lineage links—alongside its many other topics (ritual, polity, medicine, arts).
The spiritual takeaway is devotional-historical: Kṛṣṇa is portrayed as the protector of his people, reinforcing the Purāṇic theme that refuge in dharmic leadership and devotion to Hari ensures protection and continuity of righteous lineages.
