FAQs

It prescribes continual mantra-based worship and specifies that these mantras/deities are to be applied in ceremonies beginning with the Jaya rite, along with an annual abhiṣeka (consecratory bathing) for named forms such as Ghṛtakambala and Viṣṇu.

It functions like a ritual manual: it indexes ceremonies (Jaya etc.), defines their operational use (yojana), and schedules periodic temple/household consecrations (annual abhiṣeka), illustrating the Purana’s catalog-like coverage of practical liturgy.

Regular mantra-worship and periodic abhiṣeka are presented as purification-and-merit generating observances that maintain ritual sanctity, sustain divine presence, and reinforce auspiciousness through disciplined annual renewal.
