FAQs

It teaches the abhiṣeka sequence in Śiva-pūjā: bathe the deity with pañcāmṛta and then perform worship, with further snāna/abhisheka variants promised as actionable ritual options.

It exemplifies the Agni Purāṇa’s manual-like coverage of temple and household ritual technology—cataloging specific substances (pañcāmṛta) and procedural steps (snāna → pūjā), alongside forthcoming classifications of additional bath-rites.

Pañcāmṛta-abhiṣeka and worship of Śiva are framed as purificatory and merit-generating rites aimed at siddhi—here explicitly stated as “vijaya” (victory/success) for the practitioner.
