বৈরূপ্য-নিবারণ-সম্পর্কিত ‘অষ্টক’ নিত্য প্রয়োগ করলে শ্রী-সমৃদ্ধি লাভ হয়। ‘সপ্তাষ্টক’ প্রয়োগ করলে সকল কামনা পূর্ণ হয়। “শপন্ত্বহন …” এই মন্ত্রের জপ ও হোম দ্বারা শত্রুনাশ হয়। “ইন্দ্র বনং বনিক্ …”, “অগ্নে সৌভাগ্য …” এবং “ত্বমুত্তমম্ …” প্রভৃতি পাঠও আছে; এর মধ্যে শেষোক্তটি যশ ও বুদ্ধিবৃদ্ধিকারক বলা হয়েছে।
