Related Themes: Agni Purana 223 (Rasayana/Lepa-yoga context)
It teaches an Ayurvedic compounding rule: combining ingredients in pairs, standardizing dosage by “bhāga” (parts), and using sarja-resin and honey as binders/vehicles along with specified drugs (nakha, piṇyāka, lotus parts).
Beyond theology, the Agni Purāṇa preserves applied science—here, practical pharmacological method (ingredient pairing, proportional parts, and carriers like honey/resin), reflecting its wide coverage of Ayurveda alongside other disciplines.
While primarily technical, such health-preserving prescriptions are framed in Purāṇic literature as supporting dharma by maintaining bodily fitness for worship, duty, and disciplined living.
