दीर्घग्रीवाक्षिकूटाश् च ह्रस्वकर्णाश् च शोभनाः चिकित्सन्तवेति ञ राक्षान्तुरङ्गमा यत्र विजयं वर्जयेत्ततः
dīrghagrīvākṣikūṭāś ca hrasvakarṇāś ca śobhanāḥ cikitsantaveti ña rākṣānturaṅgamā yatra vijayaṃ varjayettataḥ
দীর্ঘ গ্রীবা, উঁচু চোখের ভাঁজ (অক্ষিকূট) এবং খাটো কানযুক্ত অশ্বকে শোভন ও শুভলক্ষণযুক্ত বলা হয়। অশ্বচিকিৎসক/পরিচারক বিধিমতো তার পরিচর্যা করবে; কিন্তু যেখানে অশ্ব ‘রাক্ষা’ নামক অমঙ্গল প্রভাব/ব্যাধিতে আক্রান্ত, সেখানে বিজয়ের আশা ত্যাগ করা উচিত।
