FAQs

It teaches a practical gṛha-rakṣā procedure: encircle the dwelling with a triple-thread cord, scatter protective mustard seeds (siddhārthaka), and complete offerings of fragrance and purificatory items in the correct pūjā sequence.

Beyond theology, it preserves applied domestic ritual technology—protective boundary-making (trisūtra), apotropaic substances (mustard), and standardized pūjā-krama—showing the text’s coverage of household rites alongside broader Purāṇic subjects.

The acts function as purification and protection: establishing an auspicious boundary, dispelling harmful influences, and aligning the home with ritual order (krama), which is traditionally held to generate merit and safeguard wellbeing.
