पूर्वं पीतो यदा देवि समुद्रः कुम्भजन्मना । तदा कोपेन सन्तप्तो वरुणः सरितां पतिः
pūrvaṃ pīto yadā devi samudraḥ kumbhajanmanā | tadā kopena santapto varuṇaḥ saritāṃ patiḥ
পূৰ্বে, হে দেৱী, যেতিয়া কুম্ভজন্মা মুনিয়ে সাগৰ পান কৰি ল’লে, তেতিয়া সৰিতাসকলৰ পতি বৰুণ—জলৰ অধিপতি—ক্ৰোধে দগ্ধ হৈ উঠিল।
