īśvara uvāca | pragṛhya valayaṃ hastādidaṃ vacanamabravīt | idaṃ me valayaṃ vahne vaktre dhāryaṃ sadā tvayā
Īśvara (Śiva)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Agni (Vahni/Hutāśana)
Scene: Īśvara, majestic and composed, takes a bracelet and instructs Agni to wear it upon his mouth—an arresting image of binding fire’s consuming power with a sacred ornament.
Divine order establishes limits even for cosmic forces like Fire, preserving dharma and the world’s balance.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, within whose māhātmya the control and placement of powerful energies is narrated.
No ritual is prescribed; the verse conveys a mythic injunction (ājñā) about wearing/placing the divine bracelet at the ‘mouth’ of Fire.
