īśvara uvāca | tasya dakṣiṇanairṛtye nātidūre vyavasthitam | liṃgaṃ pāpaharaṃ devi svayaṃ somapratiṣṭhitam
Śiva (Īśvara)
Tirtha: Candreśvara (Candreśa) Liṅga
Type: kshetra
Listener: Devī (Pārvatī)
Scene: Śiva speaking to Devī, pointing toward the south-west where a radiant liṅga stands; Soma (Moon-god) is shown in the past act of consecration, pouring water and offering white lotuses.
Sacred installations made with devotion become enduring sources of purification; Śiva-liṅga worship removes pāpa.
The Candreśvara liṅga area within Prabhāsakṣetra, associated with Soma’s installation.
Implicitly, worship of the Soma-established liṅga for sin-removal; details follow in subsequent verses.
