brahmaṇā'bhihitaṃ pūrvaṃ yāvanmātraṃ marīcaye | brāhmaṃ taddaśasāhasraṃ purāṇaṃ tadihocyate

ব্ৰহ্মাই পূৰ্বে মৰীচিক যিমান পৰিমিতত উপদেশ দিছিল, সেয়াই ইয়াত ‘ব্ৰাহ্ম পুরাণ’ বুলি কোৱা হয়—দশ সহস্ৰ শ্লোকযুক্ত।
