न भक्ष्यास्तावत्ते देवि यावद्गौरीव्रतं चरेत् । तस्याः पुण्यफलं वक्ष्ये कथ्यमानं शृणुष्व मे
na bhakṣyāstāvatte devi yāvadgaurīvrataṃ caret | tasyāḥ puṇyaphalaṃ vakṣye kathyamānaṃ śṛṇuṣva me
হে দেবী, যেতিয়ালৈ গৌৰী-ব্ৰত পালন কৰা হয়, তেতিয়ালৈ এইবোৰ ভক্ষণযোগ্য নহয়। সেই ব্ৰতৰ পুণ্যফল মই ক’ব খোজোঁ; মোৰ কথাখিনি মন দি শুনা।
