प्रत्यक्षं भास्करो यत्र सदा तिष्ठति भामिनि । तेन प्रभास नामेति प्रसिद्धिमगमत्क्षितौ
pratyakṣaṃ bhāskaro yatra sadā tiṣṭhati bhāmini | tena prabhāsa nāmeti prasiddhimagamatkṣitau
হে ভামিনী, য’ত ভাস্কৰ (সূৰ্য) যেন প্ৰত্যক্ষ ৰূপে সদায় স্থিত থাকে, সেইহেতু ‘প্ৰভাস’ নাম পৃথিৱীত প্ৰসিদ্ধি লাভ কৰিলে।
