Pulastya
Tirtha: Pārtheśvara
Type: kshetra
Listener: King (māhātmya-listener; traditionally Bhīṣma/Yudhiṣṭhira-type frame, but here addressed as 'māhīpate')
Scene: A pilgrim approaches the shrine of Pārtheśvara; the liṅga is central, with lamps and offerings; the atmosphere conveys immediate purification through darśana.
Tīrtha-yātrā and darśana of a sanctified Śiva-liṅga are taught as direct means of pāpa-kṣaya (dissolution of sin).
Pārtheśvara—presented as a sin-destroying Śaiva sacred spot within the Arbuda-khaṇḍa itinerary.
Go (gacchet) to Pārtheśvara for darśana; the verse highlights the merit of seeing the shrine.
