स्तनं धयन्तीं सुस्निग्धां शिशोः क्षीरानुरागिणः । सा तेन विद्धा बाणेन सहसा नतपर्वणा
stanaṃ dhayantīṃ susnigdhāṃ śiśoḥ kṣīrānurāgiṇaḥ | sā tena viddhā bāṇena sahasā nataparvaṇā
সেই হৰিণী স্নেহভৰে নিজৰ শাবকক স্তন্য পান কৰাই আছিল; শাবকটি মাতৃৰ দুধত আসক্ত। কিন্তু হঠাতে ৰজাৰ বাণে বিদ্ধ হ’ল—নতি-গাঁঠযুক্ত তীৰে।
