indra uvāca | yadi tuṣṭāsi me devi śāśvate bhaktivatsale | atraiva sthīyatāṃ tāvatsvarge yāvadahaṃ vibhuḥ
Indra
Tirtha: Devī-sthāna at Arbuda (as framed in Arbudakhaṇḍa)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Devī
Scene: Indra, hands folded, addresses the eternal Devī, requesting her to remain in that sacred locale as long as his sovereignty in heaven endures; devas stand in attendance.
Even celestial power seeks the stabilizing presence of the Divine Mother; devotion culminates in the wish for enduring divine proximity.
The request supports the chapter’s theme of the Goddess’s abiding presence connected with Varaparvata/Arbuda.
No ritual prescription is mentioned in this verse.
