स्कन्द उवाच । हिताय सर्वलोकानां मयैतत्समनुष्ठितम् । यद्धतो दानवो रौद्रो नान्यथा द्विजसत्तमाः
skanda uvāca | hitāya sarvalokānāṃ mayaitatsamanuṣṭhitam | yaddhato dānavo raudro nānyathā dvijasattamāḥ
স্কন্দই ক’লে: “সমগ্ৰ জগতৰ কল্যাণৰ বাবে মই এই কাৰ্য্য কৰিছিলো—অৰ্থাৎ ভয়ংকৰ দানৱক বধ কৰা। হে শ্ৰেষ্ঠ ব্ৰাহ্মণসকল, ইয়াৰ বাহিৰে আন কোনো উপায় নাছিল।”
