Skanda (deduced)
Tirtha: Triveṇī cremation-bank (within Prayāga tīrtha sphere)
Type: ghat
Scene: A priest and family stand by cooled pyre-ashes on a riverbank; within the ash-bed a distinct hoofprint-like depression is visible; the confluence waters shimmer nearby, suggesting divine sanction.
The tīrtha’s power is affirmed through a visible auspicious sign, reinforcing faith in dharmic rites performed at holy places.
The same Triveṇī-associated cremation ground/tīrtha setting described in this adhyāya.
Perform the proper funerary saṃskāras (antyeṣṭi) for deceased Brahmins at that spot, recognizing the auspicious sign in the ashes.
