gautama uvāca | yadyevaṃ niścayo vatsa tava mātuśca saṃsthitaḥ | ahaṃ te darśayiṣyāmi tapasā hāṭakeśvaram
Gautama
Tirtha: Hāṭakeśvara
Type: kshetra
Listener: Śatānanda (and mother)
Scene: Sage Gautama, serene and powerful, promises to reveal Hāṭakeśvara through his austerity; the atmosphere suggests imminent divine manifestation—light, ash, and sacred presence.
When devotion is steady, divine grace is approached through disciplined tapas guided by a realized sage.
Hāṭakeśvara—whose darśana is presented as the spiritual culmination of the tīrtha narrative.
Tapas (austerity) is explicitly presented as the means by which Hāṭakeśvara will be revealed.
