याज्ञवल्क्य उवाच । यदि तुष्टः सुरश्रेष्ठ वेदाध्ययनसंभवे । गुरुर्भव ममाद्यैव ममैतद्वांछितं हृदि
yājñavalkya uvāca | yadi tuṣṭaḥ suraśreṣṭha vedādhyayanasaṃbhave | gururbhava mamādyaiva mamaitadvāṃchitaṃ hṛdi
যাজ্ঞবল্ক্য ক’লে: “যদি আপুনি সন্তুষ্ট, হে দেৱশ্ৰেষ্ঠ, তেন্তে বেদাধ্যয়নৰ উদ্ভৱৰ নিমিত্তে—আজিয়েই মোৰ গুৰু হওক। এইয়াই মোৰ হৃদয়ৰ কামনা।”
