Purification is not merely personal; it restores one’s capacity to serve society through dharmic rites, ancestral offerings, and family life.
The same Nāgarakhaṇḍa tīrtha of Adhyāya 113, whose bathing is presented as powerful enough to re-establish ritual and social eligibility.
After bathing and becoming purified, the person is declared eligible for śrāddha and other dharma rites, and fit for marriage alliance (kanyā-dāna).
