वृथा ते ब्रह्मचापल्याच्छप्तोऽयं दक्ष दुर्मते । येनेदं पालितं विश्वं सर्वेण च महात्मना । शप्तोऽयं स कथं पाप रुद्रोऽयं ब्राह्मणाधम
vṛthā te brahmacāpalyācchapto'yaṃ dakṣa durmate | yenedaṃ pālitaṃ viśvaṃ sarveṇa ca mahātmanā | śapto'yaṃ sa kathaṃ pāpa rudro'yaṃ brāhmaṇādhama
“হে দাক্ষ, দুৰ্মতি! ব্ৰাহ্মণ্য অহংকাৰৰ পৰা উঠা তোৰ শাপ বৃথা। যি মহাত্মাই সমগ্ৰ বিশ্ব ধৰি ৰাখিছে—সেই ৰুদ্ৰক কেনেকৈ শাপ দিব পাৰি? হে পাপী, হে ব্ৰাহ্মণাধম!”
