pādāṃguṣṭhena ca bhavāṃstatra kuṃḍaṃ vidhāsyati | sarvatīrthasnāna tulyaṃ tatra snānaṃ ca taddine
Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta) (deduced; instruction addressed to a listener within the narrative)
Tirtha: Lohāṇā-kuṇḍa (kuṇḍa to be fashioned)
Type: kund
Listener: Pāṇḍava
Scene: A heroic Pāṇḍava presses the earth with his great toe; water springs forth forming a clear kuṇḍa. Pilgrims gather with folded hands as Skanda’s presence sanctifies the waters; the scene emphasizes emergence and consecration.
A sanctified place and time can concentrate the merit of many pilgrimages, making dharma accessible through a single focused act.
A kuṇḍa (sacred tank) established at the Lohāṇā locale is glorified as granting the fruit of all-tīrtha bathing.
Establish the kuṇḍa at the site and perform snāna there on the specified day; that bath is said to equal sarva-tīrtha-snāna.
