devā ūcuḥ | yo'sau vajrāṃgatanayastvayā dattavaraḥ prabho | bhṛśaṃ viprakṛtāstena tattvaṃ jānāsi tattvataḥ
Devas
Listener: Prabhu (the addressed lord)
Scene: The Devas speak in chorus, pointing to the asura’s lineage (son of Vajrāṅga) and reminding the lord of the boon previously granted; their faces show both reverence and distress.
Power granted without restraint can become oppression; divine boons still operate within the larger framework of dharma and cosmic correction.
No site is named in this verse; it identifies the antagonist (Vajrāṅga’s son).
