bṛhaspatiruvāca | sāmapūrvaṃ smṛtā nītiścaturaṃgāmanīkinīm | jigīṣatāṃ suraśreṣṭha sthitireṣā sanātanī

বৃহস্পতিয়ে ক’লে: হে দেৱশ্ৰেষ্ঠ! জয়লাভ কামনাকাৰীসকলৰ নীতি ‘সাম’ (সমঝোতা/মৈত্ৰী)ৰে আৰম্ভ হয় বুলি স্মৃতিত কোৱা হৈছে, আৰু ই চতুৰঙ্গ সেনাৰ ক্ষেত্ৰতো প্ৰযোজ্য। জয়ী হ’ব খোজাসকলৰ বাবে এই পদ্ধতি সনাতন, চিৰাচৰিত।
