कूर्म उवाच । शांडिल्य इति विख्यातः पुराहमभवं द्विजः । बालभावे मया भूप क्रीडमानेन निर्मितम्

কূৰ্মে ক’লে: পূৰ্বে মই দ্বিজ ব্ৰাহ্মণ আছিলোঁ, ‘শাণ্ডিল্য’ নামে খ্যাত। হে ৰাজন, শৈশৱত খেলি থাকোঁতে মই নিজ হাতে এক বস্তু গঢ়িছিলোঁ।
