वृद्धेनाराधितो यस्माद्धारीतेन तपस्विना । आदित्यो वार्धकहरो वृद्धादित्यस्ततः स्मृतः
vṛddhenārādhito yasmāddhārītena tapasvinā | ādityo vārdhakaharo vṛddhādityastataḥ smṛtaḥ
যিহেতু তপস্বী হাৰীতাই বৃদ্ধাৱস্থাত আদিত্যক আৰাধনা কৰিছিল, সেয়েহে জৰা-হৰণকাৰী সেই আদিত্য ‘বৃদ্ধাদিত্য’ নামে স্মৃত।
