तस्मिन्महार्णवे घोरे नष्टे स्थावरजङ्गमे । मयूरं स्वर्णपत्राढ्यमपश्यंसहसा जले । विचित्रचन्द्रकोपेतं नीलकंठं सुलोचनम्
tasminmahārṇave ghore naṣṭe sthāvarajaṅgame | mayūraṃ svarṇapatrāḍhyamapaśyaṃsahasā jale | vicitracandrakopetaṃ nīlakaṃṭhaṃ sulocanam
সেই ভয়ংকৰ মহাসাগৰত, যেতিয়া স্থাৱৰ-জংগম সকলো প্ৰাণী নাশ হৈছিল, তেতিয়া মই হঠাতে জলে এটা ময়ূৰ দেখিলোঁ—সোণালী পাখিৰে অলংকৃত, নীলকণ্ঠ, সুদৰ্শন নয়নযুক্ত, আৰু আশ্চৰ্য চন্দ্ৰ-সদৃশ শিখাৰে ভূষিত।
