vṛṣa uvāca | bhobho nṛpavaraśreṣṭha tīrthamāhātmyamuttamam | yatra cāsmadvidhastīrthe mucyate pātakairnaraḥ | mayā jñātamaśeṣeṇa matsamo nāsti pātakī
Vṛṣa
Tirtha: Revā-tīrtha
Type: ghat
Listener: The king (nṛpavara-śreṣṭha)
Scene: The bull (now in divine form) addresses the king from the vimāna, hands folded, face bright with relief; he extols the tīrtha’s greatness, while the river and parva crowd form a reverent backdrop.
A powerful tīrtha can liberate even deeply fallen beings, inspiring repentance and faith in dharma.
A tīrtha within the Revā Khaṇḍa (Revā/Narmadā sacred region) is praised; the verse emphasizes its sin-destroying power rather than naming it.
No explicit prescription here; it proclaims the tīrtha’s capacity to remove pātakas.
