evaṃ mahatpuṇyatamaṃ ca kalpaṃ paṭhanti śṛṇvanti ca ye dvijendrāḥ | mahāvarāhasya maheśvarasya dine dine te vimalā bhavanti
Mārkaṇḍeya (inferred)
Tirtha: Revā-māhātmya (textual tīrtha)
Type: kshetra
Listener: dvijendra-s and general audience
Scene: A learned brāhmaṇa recites from palm-leaf manuscripts to attentive listeners near a riverbank shrine; above, a symbolic vision of Maheśvara and Varāha indicates divine sanction of the narrative.
Śravaṇa (hearing) and pāṭha (recitation) of sacred Purāṇic narratives are themselves purifying disciplines.
The wider Revā-khaṇḍa tradition is endorsed; the verse focuses on textual merit rather than a single named tīrtha.
Recite and listen to this kalpa/narrative regularly; its fruit is progressive purification.
