Tirtha: Śaṅkhoddhāra
Type: ghat
Listener: Devī (contextual continuity)
Scene: A devotee emerges from the river after snāna; seated on kusa grass, he offers tarpaṇa—water streams from cupped hands—toward a line of subtle ancestral forms and toward deities in the sky.
Personal purification is completed by gratitude and obligation—snāna removes sin, while tarpaṇa fulfills duty toward ancestors and gods.
Śaṅkhoddhāra-tīrtha in the Revā Khaṇḍa.
Bathe at Śaṅkhoddhāra, then perform tarpaṇa for Pitṛs and devatās.
