श्रीमार्कण्डेय उवाच । पुरा शप्तो मुनीन्द्रेण दक्षेण किल भारत । असेवनाद्धि दाराणां क्षयरोगी भविष्यसि

শ্ৰী মাৰ্কণ্ডেয় ক’লে: পূৰ্বকালত, হে ভাৰত, তেওঁ মহামুনি দক্ষৰ দ্বাৰা নিশ্চয় শপ্ত হৈছিল—“ধৰ্মপত্নীসকলৰ সঙ্গ-সেৱা অৱহেলা কৰাৰ বাবে তুমি ক্ষয়ৰোগত আক্রান্ত হ’বাহে।”
