Vyomavāṇī (a celestial voice)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Paśupatinātha
Significance: General: remembrance of Śiva-bhakti as a restraint on krodha and a purifier of karma in crisis.
Role: teaching
It teaches that true Śiva-bhakti is proven by mastery over krodha (anger). A devotee should pause, reflect, and act according to dharma rather than being driven by passion in conflict.
Saguna Śiva worship in the Purāṇic path emphasizes inner purification alongside ritual. This verse highlights a core fruit of devotion—restraint and discernment—without which external worship of Śiva (including Linga worship) remains incomplete.
A practical takeaway is japa with a calming intent—especially the Panchākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—to cool anger and restore śānti before acting; pairing it with mindful breath and remembrance of Śiva as the inner witness supports self-control.
