Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Mantra: mṛtasaṃjīvanī nāma vidyā yā mama nirmalā | tapobalena mahatā mayaiva parinirmitā
Role: teaching
It teaches that divine power and grace arise from Shiva’s pure consciousness and tapas; even extraordinary siddhis are rooted in spiritual purity and disciplined austerity under the Lord’s sovereignty.
By attributing the vidyā directly to Shiva, the verse reinforces Saguna Shiva as the compassionate Lord who bestows life and protection; Linga-worship honors Him as the source of all śakti and salvific grace.
The practical takeaway is tapas supported by Shiva-upāsanā—steady japa (especially the Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), purity of conduct, and disciplined meditation to align with Shiva’s grace rather than seeking power for its own sake.
