Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
It teaches that viṣayas (sense-enjoyments) strengthen pāśa (bondage) and keep the soul’s awareness turned outward; when the mind is dominated by them, mokṣa becomes rare because inner stillness and Shiva-oriented discernment cannot arise.
Linga/Saguna Shiva worship gathers the scattered mind into one-pointed devotion; by replacing craving with śraddhā and bhakti, the grip of viṣayas loosens, making the mind fit for Shiva’s grace and for insight into the Pati beyond worldly objects.
Practice japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with daily Linga-abhiṣeka, and support it with bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa as reminders of vairāgya—reducing sensory indulgence so the mind can settle in dhyāna.
