Sukta 2.24
स संनयः स विनयः पुरोहितः स सुष्टुतः स युधि ब्रह्मणस्पतिः । चाक्ष्मो यद्वाजं भरते मती धनादित्सूर्यस्तपति तप्यतुर्वृथा ॥
sá saṃnáyaḥ sá vináyaḥ puróhitaḥ sá suṣṭútaḥ sá yudhí bráhmaṇas pátiḥ | cākṣmó yád vā́jaṃ bhárate matī́ dhánād ít sū́ryas tapati tapyátur vṛ́thā ||
সেইজনেই নেতা, সেইজনেই বিনয়ী পথপ্ৰদৰ্শক, অগ্ৰে স্থাপিত পুরোহিত; সেইজনেই সু-স্তুত, যুদ্ধত সেইজনেই ব্ৰহ্মণস্পতি। যেতিয়া তেওঁ মতি—প্ৰেৰিত চিন্তা—দ্বাৰা ধন-সদৃশ বীৰ্যৰ পূৰ্ণতা ‘ৱাজ’ আনে, তেতিয়া সেই লাভৰ বিপক্ষে সূৰ্যৰ দাহো বৃথা হয়।
