होतारं विश्ववेदसं सं हि त्वा विश इन्धते । स आ वह पुरुहूत प्रचेतसोऽग्ने देवाँ इह द्रवत् ॥

hótāraṃ viśvá-vedasaṃ sáṃ hí tvā víśa indháte | sá ā́ vaha puruhūta prá-cetaso’gne devā́m̐ ihá drávat ||

হোতা, বিশ্ববেদস (সৰ্বজ্ঞ) ৰূপে—লোকসমূহ একেলগে তোমাকেই জ্বলাই তোলে। সেয়ে, হে অগ্নি, বহুবাৰ আহ্বানিত (পুরুহূত) আৰু প্ৰচেতস (বিস্তৃত-চেতন), দেৱসকলক ইয়ালৈ আন—দ্ৰুত দৌৰি (কাৰ্য সিদ্ধ কৰিবলৈ) ।
