अयुयुत्सन्ननवद्यस्य सेनामयातयन्त क्षितयो नवग्वाः । वृषायुधो न वध्रयो निरष्टाः प्रवद्भिरिन्द्राच्चितयन्त आयन् ॥

áyuyutsan anavadyásya sénām áyātayanta kṣitáyo návagvāḥ | vṛṣāyúdho ná vádhrayo nír aṣṭāḥ pravádbhir índrāc citáyanta ā́yan ||

অনবদ্যজনৰ (দোষহীনজনৰ) সেনাৰ সন্মুখত তেওঁলোকে টিকি থাকিব নোৱাৰিলে; স্থিতিপ্ৰাপ্ত জনসমূহ—নৱগ্বাসকল—তেওঁলোকক নিজৰ ঠাইৰ পৰা খেদাই দিলে। বৃষ-আয়ুধধাৰী যোদ্ধাৰ দৰে, যেন নপুংসক কৰি বহিষ্কৃতসকল, ঢাল বগাই বগাই সৰি গ’ল—ইন্দ্ৰৰ উপস্থিতি আৰু শক্তিকো ভয় কৰি।
