Sukta 1.147

उत वा यः सहस्य प्रविद्वान्मर्तो मर्तं मर्चयति द्वयेन । अतः पाहि स्तवमान स्तुवन्तमग्ने माकिर्नो दुरिताय धायीः ॥

utá vā yáḥ sahasya právidvān márto mártaṃ marcáyati dvayéna | atáḥ pāhi stavamāna stuvántam agne mā́kiḥ no duritā́ya dhāyīḥ ||

আৰু পুনৰ, যি কোনো জন—জ্ঞান আৰু বলৰ দাবী কৰিও—মৰ্ত্য হৈ মৰ্ত্যক দুয়োটা উপায়ে আঘাত কৰে, সেইৰ পৰা হে অগ্নি, আমি স্তৱ কৰি প্ৰশংসা কৰোঁতে আমাক ৰক্ষা কৰা; কোনোবাই যেন আমাক দুঃখ-দুৰিত আৰু কুপথৰ দিশে নঠেলি দিয়ে।
