सीताया वनगमननिश्चयः
Sita’s Resolve to Accompany Rama to the Forest
अनन्यभावामनुरक्तचेतसंत्वया वियुक्तां मरणायनिश्चिताम्।नयस्व मां साधु कुरुष्व याचनाम्न ते मयाऽतो गुरुता भविष्यति।।।।
ananyabhāvām anuraktacetasaṃ
tvayā viyuktāṃ maraṇāya niścitām |
nayasva māṃ sādhu kuruṣva yācanāṃ
na te mayā 'to gurutā bhaviṣyati ||
মই অনন্যভাৱে আপোনাতেই স্থিৰ; মোৰ চিত্ত আপোনাৰ প্ৰতি অনুৰক্ত। আপোনাৰ পৰা বিচ্ছিন্ন হ’লে মই মৃত্যুকেই স্থিৰ সিদ্ধান্ত কৰি লৈছোঁ। দয়া কৰি মোক লগত লৈ যাওক, মোৰ যাচনা গ্ৰহণ কৰক—মোৰ বাবে আপোনাৰ ওপৰত কোনো ভাৰ নপৰে।
Since I have no thought other than you and my heart is (irretrievably) attached to youI have resolved to die if separated from you. Pray, be favourably disposed to take me. I shall not be a burden to you.
Truthful commitment (satya) to one’s chosen dharma: Sītā openly states the consequence of separation and petitions for a path that preserves righteous unity.
Sītā makes a final, urgent plea to accompany Rāma, declaring that separation is unbearable and that she will not hinder him.
Single-minded devotion and frank truthfulness—she speaks plainly, taking responsibility for her own resolve.
