Secondary Rasa: shanta
Sandhi Resolution Notes: प्रसादान्मे = प्रसादात् + मे; कुञ्जलस्यापि = कुञ्जलस्य + अपि; किमुक्तं = किम् + उक्तम्.
The verse asks for an account of Kuñjala’s conduct (ceṣṭitam) and additionally requests what a “great soul” (mahātmā) said regarding a “fourth son” (caturthaṃ tanayam).
It functions as a prompt: the listener requests further narration—specifically, Kuñjala’s actions and a significant statement made about the fourth son—so the story can continue with those details.
By appealing “out of kindness” (prasādāt), the verse highlights the traditional Purāṇic model of respectful inquiry, where humility and receptivity are presented as proper attitudes for receiving sacred or instructive narratives.
