Adhyaya 77 — Sanjna’s Withdrawal from Surya: The Birth of Yama and Yamuna, and the Emergence of Chhaya
मार्कण्डेय उवाच यमस्यैतद्वचः श्रुत्वा भगवान्स्तिमिरापहः ।
छायासंज्ञां समाहूय पप्रच्छ क्व गतेति सा ॥
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca yamasyaitad vacaḥ śrutvā bhagavāṃs timirāpahaḥ /
chāyāsaṃjñāṃ samāhūya papraccha kva gateti sā
মাৰ্কণ্ডেয়ই ক’লে: যমৰ এই কথা শুনি অন্ধকাৰ নাশক ভগৱান সূৰ্যই ছায়াক (যাক সংজ্ঞা বুলি কোৱা হৈছিল) মাতি সুধিলে, ‘তাই (সংজ্ঞা) ক’লৈ গৈছে?’
