Adhyaya 77 — Sanjna’s Withdrawal from Surya: The Birth of Yama and Yamuna, and the Emergence of Chhaya
छायासंज्ञोवाच आकेशग्रहणाद् देवि ! आशापाच्च वचस्तव ।
करिष्ये कथयिष्यामि वृत्तन्तु शापकर्षणात् ॥
chāyasaṃjñovāca ākeśagrahaṇād devi! āśāpāc ca vacas tava / kariṣye kathayiṣyāmi vṛttāntaṃ śāpakarṣaṇāt
ছায়া-সঞ্জ্ঞাই ক’লে— “হে দেবী, তুমি মোৰ কেশ ধৰি মোক ধৰি ৰাখিছা, আৰু তোমাৰ বাক্যৰ পৰা জাগি উঠা আশাই মোক প্ৰেৰণা দিছে; সেয়ে শাপবলে উদ্ভূত সমগ্ৰ বৃত্তান্ত মই তোমাক ক’ম।”
