Adhyaya 75 — The Fall and Restoration of Revatī Nakṣatra and the Birth of Raivata Manu
तस्य मन्वन्तरे देवान् मुनिदेवेन्द्रपार्थिवान् ।
कथ्यमानान् मया ब्रह्मन् निबोध सुसमाहितः ॥
tasya manvantare devān munidevendrapārthivān | kathyamānān mayā brahman nibodha susamāhitaḥ ||
হে ব্ৰাহ্মণ! সেই মন্বন্তৰত মই দেৱগণ, ঋষিগণ, ইন্দ্ৰ আৰু ৰজাসকল (পাৰ্থিৱসকল)ৰ বৰ্ণনা কৰোঁ; তুমি সম্পূৰ্ণ মনোযোগেৰে শুনা।
Purāṇic history is presented as a disciplined listening tradition (śravaṇa): attention (samāhita) is itself a prerequisite for receiving cosmological and dharmic knowledge.
Manvantara: the verse signals the canonical elements typically supplied for each manvantara—deities (devagaṇa), sages (saptarṣi), Indra, and royal lineages.
The fourfold enumeration (gods–sages–Indra–kings) mirrors a cosmic governance model: spiritual authority (ṛṣi), celestial administration (deva/Indra), and terrestrial order (rājā).
