Adhyaya 75 — The Fall and Restoration of Revatī Nakṣatra and the Birth of Raivata Manu
विवाहञ्चैव दुहितुर्विधिवद् मन्त्रयोगिनम् ।
निष्पाद्य प्रीतिमान् भूयो जामातारमथाब्रवीत् ॥
vivāhañ caiva duhitūr vidhivad mantra-yoginam | niṣpādya prītimān bhūyo jāmātāram athābravīt ||
মন্ত্ৰবিদ্যাত নিপুণ সেই পুৰুষৰ সৈতে কন্যাৰ বিবাহ বিধিপূৰ্বক সম্পন্ন কৰি, সন্তুষ্ট হৈ তেওঁ পুনৰ জামাতাক সম্বোধন কৰিলে।
Ritual correctness (vidhivat) is portrayed as the stable foundation upon which extraordinary blessings may rest; dharma frames even miraculous narratives.
Vaṃśānucarita: marriage is a key hinge in dynastic continuity, setting up the birth of an important progenitor (a Manu).
The union of ‘mantra’ and ‘vivāha’ can symbolize the harmonization of speech/intention (vāk/mantra) with embodied life (householder stage), producing spiritually charged progeny.
