Adhyaya 2The Lineage of Garuda and the Birth of the Wise Birds: Kanka and Kandhara

नश्यतो युध्यतो वापि तावद्भवति जीवितम् ।

यावद्धातासृजत् पूर्वं न यावन्मनसेप्सितम् ॥

naśyato yudhyato vāpi tāvad bhavati jīvitam |

yāvad dhātā sṛjat pūrvaṃ na yāvan manasepsitam ||

কোনো জন নাশমান হওক বা যুদ্ধত ৰত হওক, ধাত্ৰ (বিধাতা)য়ে পূৰ্বে যিমান আয়ু নিৰ্মাণ কৰিছে সিমানেই জীৱন থাকে; কেৱল মনৰ ইচ্ছাৰে ই দীঘল নহয়।
