Educational Q&A

Anxiety in a crisis should be replaced by clear instruction and practical means (upāya). The verse frames divine counsel as a way to steady the mind and enable rightful action in battle.

Vāyudeva addresses a warrior facing the formidable Karṇa, promising to reveal a method by which the listener can confront and withstand him, shifting the focus from fear to strategy.
