Sātyaki-praveśaḥ and Duryodhana-saṃnipātaḥ
Sātyaki’s passage and Duryodhana’s mass engagement
nimeṣāntaramātreṇa bhāradvājo 'paraṃ dhanuḥ
The verse highlights the warrior ideal of unwavering preparedness: even when a weapon is lost or rendered ineffective, one must respond instantly and continue one’s duty without hesitation.
Sañjaya reports that Droṇa, identified by his lineage as Bhāradvāja’s son, in a blink of an eye takes up another bow—indicating rapid action in the midst of the ongoing combat.
