च्यवन उवाच सहस्रन॑ नाहमहामि किं वा त्वं मन्‍्यसे नृप । सदृशं दीयतां मूल्यं स्वबुद्ध्या निश्चयं कुरु

Transliteration

Cyavana uvāca: sahasreṇa nāham ahāmi kiṁ vā tvaṁ manyase nṛpa | sadṛśaṁ dīyatāṁ mūlyaṁ svabuddhyā niścayaṁ kuru ||

Translation

চ্যৱনে ক’লে—হে নৰেশ্বৰ! মই এক হাজাৰ মুদ্ৰাত ক্ৰয়যোগ্য নহয়। তুমি কি মোৰ মূল্য ইমানেই ভাবিছা? মোৰ যোগ্য মূল্য দিয়া; সেয়া কিমান হ’ব লাগে, নিজৰ বুদ্ধিৰে বিচাৰ কৰি স্থিৰ কৰা।
